Getting an edge

The leaders and managers of today’s organisations are facing an explosion of information to the point of overload. World population growth is swamping us with environmental problems and resource needs are changing radically. Oil seems to be running out and the climate is acting up in dangerous ways.

These and other forces are overwhelming the abilities of businesses and government. Local and glo­bal recessionary conditions have also contributed complexity by changing revenue patterns and putting pressure on budgets.

Gaining an edge in this environment is both simple and challenging.

Simple because we all have powerful innate abilities that many of us do not use, or use in ways that do not help us.

Challenging because learned responses often get in the way of our drawing on our natural talents.
